With Gratitude

As we acclimate to shorter days here in the Pacific Northwest I want to pause with gratitude and honor our 6th season in flower farming. I feel privileged to have the opportunity to cultivate our land and the freedom to share our seasonal flowers with our community.

If you purchased flowers from our family farm, we appreciate your loyalty.

Webster's Dictionary describes Flourish;

  1. to grow luxuriantly: Thrive

  2. to achieve success: Prosper

    b. to be in a state of activity or production

    c. to reach a height of development or influence

  3. to make bold and sweeping gestures

  4. a period of thriving

    b. a luxuriant growth or profusion

  5. showiness in doing something

  6. a sudden burst

I describe Flourish as;

Being stewards of the land, seeing a need and meeting it. Connecting community through flowers. Flourish is working hard, being transparent, and continuing education. It's about making room for others at the table. Community and togetherness through the seasons. It's encouraging others to keep going. It's community over competition. Trusting the process. Believing that the future is better than today. It's integrity, joy, and grace. Flourish is about doing good, cultivating kindness, and extending generosity. Flourish is showing up as you are. It's about learning from one another, giving back, and diving in. Getting real, being honest, and living with intention. It's quality over quantity, slow flowers, a holistic practice. It's sweet, dirty, and not always pretty.

I hope you glean something exciting here, experiment with it, trust and appreciate it.

Stay curious. We see you. We are grateful for you. You are welcome here.

Where would you like to see us in 2025? Please post your suggestions in the comments. Your feedback is appreciated.

Recently my Instagram account was compromised. I am relieved that I have since recovered. During that moment without full control and before regaining access I was holding odd headspace, Wondering, how I would communicate with my flower friends and followers. I was grateful to those of you who already subscribed to my newsletter. If you aren't already subscribed this is your friendly reminder. Pause what you are doing and subscribe by visiting

Now begins the overwhelming task of winterizing our farm. Many assume once Frostmas arrives that my work is done. But the winter preparation is so labor-intensive.

What’s required is confirmation of the dahlia varieties, cutting back all of the dahlia foliage, pulling irrigation, landscape fabric, and digging our 900 dahlia tubers. It’s a dirty back-wrenching task! Followed by washing, dividing & storing the dahlias.

I intend to have a dahlia tuber sale in 2025. Another great reason to subscribe to our newsletter. Be the first to know when & where our sale will be. Many of our tuber varieties were hand-dug by me directly from the Floret Flower Farm! You won’t want to miss these.

I believe you will have a blessed holiday season. Don't forget to support each other, as kindness is the greatest gift, and allow yourself the gift of relaxation.

With Gratitude from our farm to yours,

Keep Flourishing,

Kari
